Retired dentist Paul Isaacs is now using the tools of his trade to produce these lovely miniatures.
As a student (about 35 years ago) he made miniature musical instruments for The Dolls house shop in Covent garden and started again as a hobby on retiring.
Everything made from scratch including the brass hinges; made from brass strip, cut and bent, and brass wire. Likewise, the candelabra on the pianos. Violins are hollow with top and bottom carved from Yew and then fitted onto the ribs. Finger boards/chin rests and some cases made from ebony, others from a variety of exotic woods. Tuning Pegs turned and shaped under magnification (many frustratingly lost on workshop floor and never found)!
