Brenda Hartill is a London born artist who grew up in New Zealand and returned to London and studied at the Central School of art and design.
She worked as a freelance designer in UK theatre, including the West End, and the National Theatre. In the early eighties, she turned towards printmaking and has successfully published her own prints since. She is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Rye Society of Artists, and Pure Arts Group.
Brenda’s work is very refreshing and her enthusiasm for experimenting is evident. It also demonstrates her speciality of theatrical design. Brenda (in her own words) is inspired by her fascination with erosion, weather patterns, natural patterns, growth formations and universal organic forms.
